Dr. Walker infuses dry, tongue in cheek humor effortlessly throughout the narrative that had me at times chuckling by myself. “I have to say I was a bit surprised when I read this series of short stories. I won this book in a contest so I didn't know what it was about. On the surface the author provides three supernatural tales of suspense. Taken at face value this book would be a fantastic gift to a junior high student for Halloween. My daughter eats this kind of thing up. But if I am spending my time reading I am always looking for a deeper impression and I was not disappointed. Whether it was the author's intent or not, I did find myself considering deeper social questions being asked throughout the stories.”
